The Newfoundland Growlers are sticking with their cup-winning coach.

This move takes one dark horse candidate for the assistant coaching vacancy on the Leafs off the board.

Snowden, the former Solar Bears assistant, signed on with the Growlers under coach Ryane Clowe, and took over when Clowe stepped down for health reasons. Snowden is a former player, a minor-leaguer who started out on the US National U18 Team. He played his entire career in America, barring one part season in Germany.

He began his coaching career as an assistant coach/player and then joined the Solar Bears two years after he retired from playing. He moved to the Growlers as soon as they were formed and became the head coach on January 24. He hoisted the cup on June 4.
