Toronto Maple Leafs at home vs Ottawa Senators: Game #3
7:00pm @ Scotiabank Arena
TV/Streaming: CBC, Sportsnet Ontario
Opponent’s site: Silver Seven Sens
The Maple Leafs are set to play their second game in a row against their provincial rivals. Thursday was their second straight game having a piss-poor start, and they couldn’t actually come back from a 3-0 deficit. They won’t be on a SEGABABA this time, so no excuses. Time to murder the Sens.
The big story today is the health of Mrazek, who was injured partway though the last game. Coach Sheldon Keefe said he didn’t think he would miss much time, which IS good news. The bad news is that this means they don’t want to put him on IR, which means they don’t get that extra salary cap to work with. They can’t do an emergency call up either, apparently, so for this game they signed U of T goalie Alex Bishop to an ATO to be Campbell’s backup. After this game, it is expected they’ll be able to use an emergency call up of Hutchinson.
The other lineup news is that Timothy Liljegren is expected to make his season debut for Justin Holl, who is sick. Maybe not so serious an illness, but Keefe said they’re resting him regardless of any test results... which sounded more ominous than he may have meant it. And not only is Liljegren getting into the game, he was lined up with Jake Muzzin on the second pair in their morning skate. You know what that means!

Brady Tkachuk has signed but is still not getting into tonight’s game. They’ll run a similar lineup to what they used last game:
Tim Stützle - Josh Norris - Drake Batherson
Nick Paul - Shane Pinto - Connor Brown
Alex Formenton - Chris Tierney - Tyler Ennis
Zach Sanford - Logan Shaw - Parker Kelly
Thomas Chabot - Artyom Zub
Victor Mete - Nikita Zaitsev
Nick Holden - Joshua Brown
