Come check if your most/least favourite player gained or lost half an inch! Please don't be the fan that thinks Easton Cowan is ready for the show because they listed him at 6'0", because earlier this summer he knew he wasn't. Or that Cade Webber is a wash for losing that inch. Behind all the talk about Marner and stuff, a big topic of conversation is hoping Morgan Rielly can have a comeback year. As a veteran player it's surprising how much weight he's lost. We'll see what it looks like in the games.

Check out the media availability from the first skating day of camp. Nick Robertson got a lot of questions about changes he's made, but he beyond training on his body positioning in battles he hasn't changed his mentality. Also, Chris Tanev has good things to say about Dakota Joshua.

Preseason All-Star voting is underway. Maybe this time it's enough for a trade.

The original plan was to play Domi with Matthews and Knies, but instead yesterday Maccelli got the role. I don't think it's as negative of a situation as the headline makes it out to be. It should be said Maccelli hasn't played first line minutes before, he's been solidly in the middle of the lineup in the NHL in his career, so it would be a big jump for him.

The writing appears to be on the wall for Robertson, and for a Stolarz extension.

TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston joins Mark Masters to share his thoughts on Matias Maccelli getting a look on the Maple Leafs’ top line at the first practice of training camp, discuss why Toronto is a great fit for Anthony Stolarz, and why he thinks Nick Robertson could use a change of scenery.

Here were the lines from both groups in camp.

A summary of the Leafs and Marlies lines look like this:

Leafs lines (sorry, Easton)

Knies-Matthews-Maccelli
McMann-Tavares-Nylander
Joshua-Roy-Järnkrok
Lorentz-Laughton-Robertson
Kämpf-Pezzetta
inj: Domi

McCabe-Tanev
Rielly-Carlo
OEL-Benoit
Thrun-Myers

Stolarz/Woll

I think once Domi goes into the lineup, Järnkrok goes down and Robertson comes out.

Marlies lines (not complete without AHL contracted player)

Nylander-Haymes-Boyd
Cowan-Quillan-Lettieri
Barbolini-Groulx-Tverberg
Sim, Holinka, Valis

Rifai-Danford
Prokop-Mermis
Chadwick-Benning
Webber-Villeneuve

Hildeby
Akhtyamov

Brigs will/won't like seeing this.
