The Leafs capped off their visit to Montreal with a 3-1 win last night and now return to Toronto for their next game on Monday. The pre-season is now more than half over, with only three games left this week on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

The Marlies first pre-season game is Thursday, so they will obviously open their training camp well before then, and that will require some players be loaned to them from the Leafs.

All of this means that the first big wave of cuts to the Leafs training camp roster will be happening soon, possibly as early as today. Waiver news is at 2:00 p.m. ET!

And let's see that Nick Robertson goal from last night one more time.
