I would have said that it feels like the last time the Maple Leafs played was in the era that photo was taken, but this week has been so busy with the Muzzin trade that the time has flown by.

The results before the All-Star Game break were mixed in an odd way. Going backwards, the Leafs steamrolled the Capitals, but were steamrolled themselves by the Coyotes. They lost to the Panthers, but defeated the Lightning.

What is going on? I don’t know, but I do know the Red Wings are second last in the conference (only ahead of the LOLSNES,) which, given the recent record against bad teams, gives me a cold sweat. But then they face the Penguins tomorrow so that will be an easy win, right?

Of course, no matter the outcome of tonight’s game, the big story is going to be JAKE MUZZIN JAKE MUZZIN JAKE MUZZIN. I hope he’s ready for the Toronto media vultures after the game.
