Toronto Maple Leafs @ Vancouver Canucks
07:00 PM at Rogers Arena
Watch on: CBC, SN
The Leafs last game was away on February 6 against the Seattle Kraken, which Toronto won by a score of 3-1 in regulation. The Leafs have a record of 33-19-2 for a 0.630 Points %.
The Vancouver Canucks last played away on February 6 against the San Jose Sharks. The Canucks won by a score of 2-1 in overtime, and their current league record is 25-18-11 for a 0.565 Points %.
Them
The Leafs played the Canucks not quite a month ago. They put up their usual weak tea offence, pitted Dennis Hildeby against Kevin Lankinen and got shutout.
Aside from exchanging J.T. Miller for Filip Chytil, the Canucks are much the same and sorely missing Quinn Hughes. Hughes keeps trying to play and not making it through morning skate because he wants to play in the four-nations. So far it's not looking good for him.
Chytil is a good player, offensively focused and is a good return for them in this trade they were forced into. Centres are hard to find, so while he's not really a 2C in the traditional sense, he's at least a 2.5.

Us
The Leafs lines from yesterday matched the configuration that played against Seattle and won very easily without need to stoop so low as to play well at five-on-five. Max Pacioretty on the fourth line was an interesting choice, and he legitimately played fourth-line minutes.
When Pacioretty was signed, the talk was that he wouldn't play every game. Flash forward to February, and minus a few games off early and a short injury absence and he's a regular in the lineup. In case you've forgotten – no one mentions him ever – Connor Dewar is on IR, so the only extra forward is Ryan Reaves. To lighten the load in the regular season for Pacioretty, limiting his minutes is the only option right now.

The Game
With the early start there were no skates or practices, so we'll find out closer to game time who is in net for sure or any other changes. Until then:
- don't succumb to "last day of school" syndrome
- try to actually play well at five-on-five
- don't get goalied
- feel free to goalie them
- use the good power play
- no one get hurt
