Today, the NHL made this announcement:

This news will affect the AHL, ECHL and likely the SPHL, which feeds players into the ECHL,  as well.

There were 10 NHL games scheduled for this evening, including a Maple Leafs home game. Five more games were set for tomorrow, and teams may have travelled for those games already.

In the AHL, no games were scheduled today, but 10 are set for tomorrow, including a Marlies game in Hershey, PA. In the ECHL only one game was to be played today, with 12 tomorrow. The Growlers are on a road trip that was scheduled to start in Michigan tomorrow and swing back to Brampton.

The NCAA’s current position is that they will play their playoff games without fans, however some parts of the NCAA system are cancelling tournaments today, so this will change.

The USHL has suspended play with no end date.

The WHL, OHL and QMJHL have not yet announced any plans to cancel, postpone or to play with no fans, beyond the two Washington State teams in the WHL who are required to have no large crowds.

When we have more details on ticket policies, other cancellations or what this all means, we’ll be here.

Update: The AHL has suspended play.

All NCAA games are cancelled, not suspended, including the Frozen Four.
