Watch on: TSN4, MSGSN2
The Leafs last game was at home on January 14 against the Dallas Stars, which Toronto lost by a score of 4-1 in regulation. The Leafs have a record of 27-16-2 for a 0.622 Points %.
The New Jersey Devils last played at home on January 14 against the Florida Panthers. The Devils lost by a score of 2-1 in shootout, and their current league record is 26-15-5 for a 0.620 Points %.
Them
With an almost identical record to the Leafs, the Devils are getting their points in a different way. They have the puck a lot, they lead the NHL (still) in Expected Goals % and they have okay goaltending results. Their Shooting % is also only okay.
The Devils recalled an AHLer today, so they may have some issues at forward. Lines subject to change.

Us
Jake McCabe returns and Simon Benoit sits out. Steven Lorentz returns to his natural habitat and the top six were back to something sensible, and then John Tavares was hurt in practice yesterday and is on IR. He will be out for one week at least, but he is listed as week-to-week, so likely more.
So how is Brock Nelson doing?
Leafs had an optional skate today, but Fraser Minten was recalled this morning. However, it appears he is not playing tonight. Connor Dewar may be the man to come in. Max Domi will be the 2C per Craig Berube.

The Game
At this point, I'll take a return to the heady days of November when you could say that the Leafs were good defensively and it was at least a little true.
They have a lot of points that can absorb this period of confusion and despair. But it's time to snap out of it.
