The Philadelphia Flyers last played at home on February 28 against the Boston Bruins. The Flyers won by a score of 3-1 in regulation, and their current league record is 27-21-11 for a 0.551 Points %.

Them

The Flyers have a record very similar to the Leafs after flirting with playoff contention for part of the year again. They are looking to ride it out as they try to rebuild from a long dark time out of contention.

They got Boris Katchouk in trade yesterday, in a strange move, but it's possible his history of NHL play makes him a down the stretch option as they trade out players. I don't know their depth in the minors, but if Grebenkin is a third-liner, they're pretty thin. I know the done thing is to pretend he's an NHLer of some meaningful impact, but so far that is just not true. He's got a little time yet.

Us

These guys again.

If you missed it, both goalies played (for various definitions of that word) in the Saturday game, so someone is coming back in tonight. I don't see any light between them right now. It is the done thing to pretend Joe Woll is a solid performer all the time, but it's not true.

Stolarz is still struggling to get back in form, while his temper is highly active. I don't blame him for policing his crease. Someone has to. He gets to go again tonight.

Lines are all mixed up, and Bobby McMann is getting a chance to show off. Nick Robertson sits and Steven Lorentz plays.

Pairs are all mixed up and Simon Benoit gets promoted for doing things. They aren't useful things, but at least they are things that were done in a game where little else happened. Troy Stecher sits and Phil Myers gets in a game.

All of that assuming these lines survive to gametime.

The Game

Try not to get hurt. Try to make someone mad other than those of us still watching.
