Watch on: TVAS, TSN4, NBCSP

The Leafs last game was at home on March 16 against the Carolina Hurricanes, which Toronto lost by a score of 5-4 in a shootout. The Leafs have a record of 38-19-9 for a 0.644 Points %.

The Philadelphia Flyers last played away on March 16 against the Boston Bruins. The Flyers lost by a score of 6-5 in regulation, and their current league record is 34-26-8 for a 0.559 Points %.

Them

We just played the Flyers, and not much has changed in a few days. The Washington Capitals, who Toronto plays tomorrow, are threatening a late-season surge into third place in the Metro and can knock the Flyers down into a battle with the Red Wings for the wild card.

Lines

Jordan Hall via Daily Faceoff - Take this lineup with a big grain of salt as the Flyers have 15 F on the roster and the reporter listed them "in no particular order". Also:

Oh, but isn't John Tortorella so funny! The things he says. Gosh.

Owen Tippett - Morgan Frost - Travis Konecny
Joel Farabee - Scott Laughton - Bobby Brink
Tyson Foerster - Ryan Poehling - Garnet Hathaway
Denis Gurianov - Sean Couturier - Cam Atkinson
Nick Deslauriers - Noah Cates - Olle Lycksell

Cam York - Travis Sanheim
Marc Staal - Ronnie Attard
Egor Zamula - Erik Johnson

Samuel Ersson
Felix Sandstrom

Us

The Leafs held practice yesterday, and Ilya Lyubushkin, who has been hit hard in every game he's played, was absent. Reportedly due to illness, and he is likely not playing tonight.

The lines are guidelines, I think we've all seen that the wingers get moved around to balance the minutes played. What was interesting was the changed power play setup, said to be due to the differing penalty kill styles of the Hurricanes and the Flyers.

The focus is having a right shot on PP1. I get this. You have Matthews the lefty as the guy who scores and you want to feed him good passes.

Even though Conor Timmins was activated off of LTIR, Simon Benoit is the next man up to play. Timmins seems like a "last ten games" kind of insurance player who will get a couple of turns as others are rested.

The Game

If you saw the news about Wayne Simmonds signing a one-day contract to retire as a Flyer, note that is not happening today, unfortunately.

Otherwise, this is a game just like the last one where the goal is to chase whichever Flyers goalie starts, and to finish with two points.
