Toronto Maple Leafs @ Edmonton Oilers
08:30 PM at Rogers Place
Watch on: SN, TVAS
The Leafs last game was away on February 2 against the Calgary Flames, which Toronto won by a score of 4-2 in regulation. The Leafs have a record of 26-21-9 for a 0.545 Points %.
The Edmonton Oilers last played at home on January 31 against the Minnesota Wild. The Oilers lost by a score of 7-3 in regulation, and their current league record is 28-20-8 for a 0.571 Points %.
Them
The Oilers are second in the Pacific with a record not terribly different to the Leafs.
They are a member of the 50% club, naturally since most of the league is. They're at the higher end, with 51% in Expected Goals and 50% in Corsi. Their power play is epic, however, and they have the best goal-scoring rate at five-on-four. At four-on-five, they are the worst team in the league by xG. They get some help from goaltending there.
And how about that goaltending. Edmonton has three goalies who have played since their trade for Tristan Jarry. Calvin Pickard, now in the AHL, has been terrible, Connor Ingram has been average (and very much below average in his last few games), and Jarry, who was very good in Pittsburgh, has been below average in Edmonton. Their best performer? You got it, the guy they traded away in Stuart Skinner.
So what does that add up to? Well that power play can take you places in the regular season. We'll see how they do come the playoffs, though.

Us
No word on any lineup changes. If it were up to me, I'd sit Matt Knies for Easton Cowan because Knies looked beaten down and ineffective yesterday.

Just for those of us staying up, don't treat it like the last game of the season. Actually play it.
