Okay, but you're not getting a call on that, no matter how many words you have.

Aaron Ekblad scored after an ineffectual flurry of chaos by the Leafs defensively.

1-0 Florida
No puck control from anyone in blue.
Someone actually took a penalty for "upending" Mitch Marner. It was in front of his own net, could be why it got called.
Matt Knies nearly scored, but nearly doesn't count.

The power play will roll over to the second period for a few seconds.
So, just under two minutes of power-play time for the Leafs, and it doesn't help their end of the rink much. This is not stellar shot quality from Florida, but it is much better than it was in the most recent game. Bad period by the Leafs in many ways not involving Joe Woll.

Now, deep breath, and look right at it: Corsi was 33-8 for Florida.
Second Period
Scott Laughton got a couple of posts but those don't count either.

Dmitry Kulikov got one when Laughton (who has been great) ended up deflecting it in rather than blocking it.

2-0 Florida
Nylander with another breakaway that Bobrovsky stops.
In a "shows what I know" moment, Jesper Boqvist, who I expressed disbelief in for moving to the top line out of the pressbox, scored to make it 3-0 Florida.

And immediately after, Max "timing is everything" Domi got called on an obvious slash to Matthew Tkachuk's hands.

Weirdest thing about this game is that Nick Robertson keeps winning faceoffs. He is 8 won, and 13 lost on his entire NHL regular season career. What? It beats watching the game.

4-0 Florida
Maybe the Leafs actually played better since the SOG are closer. But it doesn't matter. That was a disaster.
Third Period
Leafs open hot with some scoring chances but were interrupted by a Florida penalty on the Knies chance.
Max "timing is everything" Domi took a penalty during the power play.
I'm done here. Gonna watch the Sceptres.

5-0 Florida
Matt Murray in for Joe Woll.
Sceptres going to OT, and this game had 11 minutes of playing time. Tavares in the box as a present to Murray, I guess.
6-0 Florida on the power play.

Some big scrum happened which took forever to sort out the penalties for, and gave Simpson a lot of time to talk. 10 minutes to everybody sounds good.
Sceptres back.
Leafs doing a lot of sitting in the box and other pointless things like scoring one goal. Nick Robertson, who was in the process of being mugged when it went in. Good for him.
Next game is Friday, time not yet posted.
