Now numbers get so popular, we start splitting up into smaller chunks. Lots of players in here.

#59 - Keith Aulie (2011-2012)
Stats: 57GP - 2G - 2A - 4Pts - 48PM
Awards: N/A

"We may remember the Phaneuf trade as the Keith Aulie trade someday."

Yeah or not. Keith Aulie came to the Leafs in the Dion Phaneuf trade, and he was big, but never made the impact with the team that was wanted and he'd be traded to Tampa Bay for Carter Ashton.

Other 59’s:

Jamie Devane (2013-2014)
Spent a few seasons with the Marlies, and was shipped out to Nashville for Taylor Beck, who took 1 photo with the Leafs and was sent to the Islanders for 1/5th of Michael Grabner. Thanks Jamie!

Jaime Sifers (2008-2009)
The #59 who is almost a Jamie but isn't spent 3 years in the Leafs system after his NCAA career, Sifers went to Minnesota as a free agent.

#57 - Andrew MacWilliam (2014-2015)
Stats: 12GP - 0G - 2A - 2Pts - 12PM
Awards: N/A

The former UND defenseman was mainly a Marlie following college, and after his 12 games at the end of 14/15 he was released. He’s now playing for the Rochester Americans in the AHL.

#56 - Andy Wozniewski (2006-2008)
Stats: 76GP - 2G - 10A - 12Pts - 81PM
Awards: N/A

A career tweener, Wozniewski was signed as a college free agent and spent four years bouncing from the AHL to the NHL. He was released as a free agent, spent time with St. Louis and Pittsburgh, and ended his career in Germany.

Other 56’s

Spencer Abbott (2013-2014)
A career AHLer, Abbott was another college free agent who went nowhere. Well, he went to Chicago in exchange for 'best player not in the NHL' TJ Brennan. He spent 14/15 in Sweden, and is now with the San Diego Gulls.

Andre Deveaux (2009-2010)
Brought in by Burke to keep the rats away, Deveaux gooned it up all the way to criminal charges in Sweden, where 'The Code' doesn't apply, it seems.

Byron Froese (2015-2017)
Brought in as a free agent, Froese spent time bouncing between the Marlies and Leafs. He’d be traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning for Brian Boyle, and is now captain of the Montreal Canadiens AHL team, the Laval Rocket.

#55 - Larry Murphy (1995-1997)
Stats: 151GP - 19G - 81A - 100Pts - 54PM
Awards: N/A

Larry "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" Murphy was the focal point of fan frustrations in his short time with the Leafs. Brought in by an off season trade with Pittsburgh, Murphy was at first excited to play for his favourite team. Despite his play, he was the scapegoat, and would be traded to Detroit at the 1997 deadline for 'future considerations' and the Leafs retaining 2/3rds of his contract.

Murphy would win two Stanley Cups with Detroit in 1997/1998, and be named to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004.

Other 55's:

Jason Blake (2007-2010)
One of the big UFA's in 2007, Blake came to the MAple Leafs and was..ok. Blake was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia at the start of his first Leafs season, but didn't miss a game as treatment didn't interfere. He'd play two and a half seasons in Toronto until he went to Anaheim with Vesa Toskala for JS Gigure.

Danny Markov (1998-2001)
Danny Markov could have easy replaced Larry Murphy here and I'm sure many will call me stupid for not putting him up there. An extremely popular player with fans, Markov was known less for his play and more for his quotes and antics, which included mocking Jagr's 'salute' celebration after the Leafs eliminated the Penguins from the 1999 playoffs.

Drake Berehowsky (1993-1995 / 2004)
Drafted 10th overall in 1990 by the Leafs he never played a full season in Toronto, going up and down from the AHL. He would be traded to the Penguins for  Grant Jennings in 1995, but would be re-acquired from the Penguins (he spent time with Edmonton, Nashville, Vancouver, and Phoenix in between) in 2004, with the Leafs sending Ric Jackman the other way.  Berehowksy would also be the first head coach for the new iteration of the Orlando Solar Bears, coahed for the Sudbury Wolves, and is now back with the Solar Bears.

Korbinian Holzer (2011-2015)
A 2006 draft pick from Germany, Holzer would float between the Leafs and Marlies for a few years before being sent to Anaheim in exchange for Eric Brewer and a 5th round pick (sent to Washington in the Laichs/CArrick trade. The Capitals picked Beck Malenstyn).

Ric Jackman (2003-2004)
For some reason I always brought this guy back when I played NHL video games. I don't know why. Anyway, he clearly didn't do much for the Leafs and was shipped out for fellow #55 Drake Berehowsky. Last season he signed with the Fife Flyers of the UK's EIHL.

Viktor Loov (2015-2016)
Lots to Loov about this guy. I mean there's puns. Loov is currently with the Binghamton Devils, so  Loov will no more supply us with puns.

There are your late 50's people, the second half will come Monday.  Since it was the first post actual possible choices for some numbers, argue away.
