Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans and those who now exists solely online as we countdown the days until lock down is over.

In case you haven’t been around much lately, we’ve been struggling to find the proper amount of news and content here at PPP Heavy Industries, Star Trek GIF’s, and Axolotl Farming, LLC, but thankfully we’ve been getting just enough to fill out the word minimum for morning links posts.

Yesterday it was announced that Maple Leafs prospect Nick Abruzzese was named to the ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) All-Star Team, as well as the All-Rookie Team. He was so good he gets to be on TWO All-Star Teams.

From the Harvard website:

Abruzzese, (14 goals, 30 assists) led all NCAA freshmen in scoring with 44 points. The Ivy League Rookie of the Year, Abruzzese was second in all of Division I college hockey with an average of 1.42 points per game. A native of Slate Hill, N.Y., Abruzzese recorded the best freshman season in the Ted Donato era at Harvard (2004-present), a mark previously established by Adam Fox (6-34-40) in 2016-17.

It’s amazing that this Nick hasn’t had as big a spotlight as the other Nick this season, and I do take some of the blame for dropping the prospect ball this year. But! We have next season to look forward to, whenever that will be.

Speaking of that other Nick, the QMJHL has announced that it’s cancelling the remainder of the 2019-20 regular season.

Yes, Nick Robertson does play in the OHL, but if one CHL league shuts down, odds are the other two leagues will follow suit.

Speaking of how great Nick Robertson is, the Leafs aren’t having to issue statements like this about him, admitting he doesn’t want to play for us.

Go to free agency Cole! Do it!

We also had a real live honest to goodness hockey rumour!

There’s an actual Maple Leafs hockey rumour!

Will players leave Toronto for Europe? Who would do such a thing?!

In other sports news, Tom Brady, longtime New England Patriot, has left Boston to go retire in Florida, signing a big ol’ contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Which led to Twitter nonsense, but the good kind.

Alright folks, that’s all I have for you. Be kind to each other, stay safe, don’t hoard, and if you buy online, make sure there’s somewhere safe to drop off your parcels; no one’s going to wait at the door to make contact. Need to keep those five boxes of toilet paper you ordered off of Amazon safe, you know?

I wish I was kidding.
