So, how did everyone do last weekend?

Well, a lot of players scored two points, which is pretty fun. Everyone except Ryan O’Connell, who is still pointless in his freshman year at Ohio State.

Joseph Woll and the BC Eagles have started winning more games now that they’re playing in-conference games, which is nice.

Mac Hollowell had a two-goal game, but the Greyhounds lost to Fedor Gordeev and the Firebirds.  I’ve summed it all up for you below, with some highlights.

I’m going to be honest, now that Flint isn’t just constantly acting like the Senators of the OHL, I’m struggling for stuff to talk about.

Ontario Hockey League
#11 - Mac Hollowell (D) - 2G, 1A, -3
Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds

Nov. 9th: @ Flint Firebirds
L 4-2 - 2G, 0A, -2

Nov. 10th: @ Saginaw Spirit
L 5-3 - 0G, 1A, -1

A good two goal performance as the Greyhounds lost to....Flint? What a world we live in.

#5 - Sean Durzi (D)
Owen Sound Attack

Nov. 10th: vs Erie Otters
W 4-0 - Did Not Play
Nov. 11th: vs Erie Otters
W 4-2 - Did Not Play

Durzi is still out injured. Don’t worry, eventually he will be avenged as the Steelheads move to Buffalo in a few years.

#19 - Semyon Der-Arguchintsev (C) - 0G, 1A
Peterborough Petes

Nov. 10th: vs Hamilton Bulldogs
L 3-1 - 0G, 1A

One game, one point for SDA, and one loss for the Petes last weekend.

#15 - Fedor Gordeev (D) - 1G, 1A, +4
Flint Firebirds

Nov. 9th: vs Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
W 4-2 - 0G, 1A, +2
Nov. 10th: vs Mississauga Steelheads
L 5-4 - 1G, 0A, +2

Flint got a two-game winning streak last week, but blew it on game three. Gordeev scored in that loss though, so a small victory for us Leafs fans.

#19 - Ryan McGregor (F) - 1G, 1A
Sarnia Sting

Nov. 9th: @ Kitchener Rangers
L 6-5 SO - 1G, 1A, +2

Nov. 10th: vs Sudbury Wolves
L 4-3 SO - 0G, 0A, -2

McGregor had his mind elsewhere on Saturday, like playing for Team OHL in the Canada Russia Series in his home rink, but his two point game helped the Sting get one point out of their loss in back-to-back shootout losses.

Western Hockey League

#18 - Riley Stotts (C) - 2G, 2A, +3
Calgary Hitmen

Nov. 9th: @ Lethbridge Hurricanes
L 4-2 - 0G, 1A
Nov. 11th: vs Kootenay Ice
W 7-3 - 2G, 1A, +3

Last week Riley Stotts had a huge game against the Ice. After sitting our a few, he’s come back and played at a pace to make up for the lost games.

#18 - Filip Kral (D) - 1G, 2A, +5
Spokane Chiefs

Nov, 9th: @ Victoria Royals
L 7-5 - 0G, 1A, +2
Nov. 10th: @ Victoria Royals
W 7-2 - 1G, 1A, +3

#33 - Ian Scott (G)
Prince Albert Raiders

Nov. 9th: vs Swift Current Broncos
W 6-2 - Did Not Play

Scott got the game off after returning to the team from starting for Team WHL in the Canada Russia Series.

Quebec Major Junior Hockey League

#33 - Zachary Bouthillier (G) - 23sv, 27sh, 0.852sv%
Chicoutimi Sagueens

Nov 9th: @ Charlottetown Islanders
L 5-2 - Did Not Play
Nov. 10th: @ Moncton Wildcats
L 4-3 OT - 23sv, 27sh, 0.852sv%

A rough road trip for the Sagueens, but our boy got a point. Maybe he’ll be starter now!

USHL

#14 - JD Greenway (D) - 1G, 0A, -1
Dubuque Fighting Saints

Nov. 9th: vs Central Illinois Flying Aces
W 4-3 OT - 1G, 0A, -1

Nov. 10th: @ Central Illinois Flying Aces
L 3-2 SO - No Points

JD had the overtime winner in the Saints only win last weekend. It was his third goal and 11th point of the season. He’s close to a point per game, which is the minimum we’d want to see him at right now. Hopefully he can continue to up his scoring and improve his game over the year he had last year.

NCAA

#31 - Joseph Woll (G)
Boston College Eagles

Nov. 8th: vs Vermont
W 4-1 - 28sv, 29sh, 0.966sv%
Nov. 9th: vs Vermont
W 3-2 - Did Not Play

Woll was off on Friday, but put on a show against the Catamounts on Thursday. The Eagles are finally winning games, it looks like they were saving their wins for the games that mattered.

#8 - Dakota Joshua (F) / Ryan O’Connell (D)
1G, 1A, +2 / 0G, 0A, +2
Ohio State Buckeyes

Nov. 9th: @ Colgate
W 3-0 - 0G, 1A, +1 / 0G, 0A, +1
Nov. 10th: @ Colgate
W 1-0 - 1G, 0A, +1 / 0G, 0A, +1

Two points for Joshua and O’Connell helps the Buckeyes shut out the Toothpastes (weird name for a team). Ohio State is doing well to start this year, and they’re looking for another trip to the Frozen Four, but with a different result than last season.

Here is the stats chart for the players, the NHLe is just for fun, but also something to argue about, right?
