The Leafs have announced their training camp roster for this season with no surprises.

Jake Muzzin and Matt Murray are injured to start the season and likely will be all year. Noah Gregor is the lone NHL PTO. And the Leafs have brought along their Traverse City/AHL roster as well.

The rosters themselves are images you can download from the website. We've done our best to transcribe it into writing below.

37 Forwards, 22 Defenders, 7 Goaltenders, and 3 limited/non participants.

The first two groups are split with a clear top-six NHLer bottom-six AHLer/fighting for a job. It will become a story, and I'm curious why too, of William Nylander in Group B with the best centre he has in David Kämpf. Or if he is the centre, wings of Järnkrok and maybe Nick Robertson? We'll have to see.

The defenders in the first two groups are split nicely in four pairs of two. Group A has the second and third pairs, while Group B has Rielly-Brodie and the defenders vying for the fourth pair and a prominent role on the Marlies. Let's not forget this is training camp for that roster, too, and AHL success early on often leads to a November call-up.

As for the limited/non-participants, medicals will be happening today so we will have further updates on the statuses of McMann, Muzzin, and Murray.
