It was close. The Leafs pulled off a win last night against the Nashville Predators after the game went all the way to a shootout. It was the fabulous James van Riemsdyk scoring the heroic shootout goal.

Game Recap: Frederik Andersen steals a victory in the shootout, Leafs win 3-2

The Leafs now have a little time to rest before a tight schedule of three games in five days begins Saturday, however, all are home games. First up are the Senators on Saturday.

Don’t forget the Marlies are playing Saturday afternoon too. They face-off against the Binghamton Devils and it’s Star Wars night!

Did you even remember that the Leafs are playing an outdoor game this season? Every time something about this game comes out in the news I need a moment to look up exactly when and where it’s going to be as it seems to be so low profile. For the record, it’s Saturday March 3rd vs. the Capitals with an annoying 8:00PM scheduled start time, meaning puck drop will probably be at 8:30.
