Welcome to the weekend! The rainy weather has cleared up and there's a whole buffet of hocey to watch until the Leafs play again on Sunday, starting tonight with one NHL game and one AHL game.

The Marlies can eliminate the Comets tonight if they win, but if not they will be back in Toronto to play the series deciding game on Sunday.

Toronto Marlies @ Utica Comets
Marlies lead series 2-1 (best-of-five series)
7:00 p.m.
Watch on: AHLTV (it's not on actual TV)

Still no Roni Hirvonen in the lineup despite him joinging the team April 23. Greg Moore says he's been dealing with an upper body injury. He's assigned #20 btw, which on the new protocol means that's what he would wear for the Leafs too.

The NHL only has one game on the docket and it will be a battle between the two teams which will play whoever wins the series between the Leafs and Panthers.

New Jersey Devils @ Carolina Hurricanes
Hurricanes lead series 1-0
8:00 p.m. ET
Watch on: SN, TVAS, TNT

ICYMI

If you've been putting in some long hours before the weekend, here's what you might have missed today, and one of these things is not very good:

Matthew Knies to miss rest of Round 2
The diagnosis is concussion, and the prognosis is at least two games missed, likely more.
Sam Bennett fined for cross-checking Michael Bunting
That should read, fined for cross-checking Michael Bunting in the head.

Weekend Fun

Beyond the games, it's weekend time. What are you eating, drinking, doing, etc.? I am bored and want to live vicariously through all of you social butterflies while I wonder if there will or won't be a Marlies game to go to on Sunday.
