Maple Leafs make three cuts to the training camp roster today

One junior, one AHLer, and one whose ultimate destination this season still isn’t known were cut from the team.

Today, the Maple Leafs made a modest trim to their very large training camp roster. While it still sits at over 40 names, it was split into an AHL and NHL roster a few days ago:

Semyon Der-Arguchintsev is returning to the Peterborough Petes, and you can check their schedule for game times, or rely on seldo’s prospect report each week.

Andrew Nielsen is back with the Marlies in time for their preseason games which begin on Thursday.

And Rasmus Sandin has been loaned to the Marlies. What does this mean? Is this just for the rest of camp or for the whole season? That we don’t know yet.

It seems like no one knows for sure, yet, where he’ll end up.

There are several more waiver exempt players who can be moved to the Marlies, those cuts might wait until near the last day, however, as the last two preseason games are back-to-backs.

For now, it’s farewell to SDA until next year’s camps.
