It's T25 time around here. Because I wanted to push the entire event into August – which is when we used to do it back in old days – we're a bit pressed for time to start. But consider this your orientation:

The eligibility list is here:

2025 Top 25 Under 25 Eligibility List
Everyone under the age of 25 whose rights are retained by the Leafs (almost).

All the posts going back to the earliest days are here:

Top 25 Under 25 - PPP Leafs
The grand PPP tradition of ranking all players and prospects under 25. The event takes place every summer or whenever else we are given a month with no hockey.

Today the Community Vote will go live, and you will have until the end of the week to vote – let's say Sunday morning I'll close it out. I'll give you a warning in advance, but most people vote in the first few days.

The deadline to vote in the official vote is tight this year. The sooner everyone is done, the sooner I get to do the compilation and get the earliest posts ready.

If you want to vote in the official vote, send an email on the contact email (in the footer on any page). Preference will be given to people who have done this before. I found this a difficult vote to make decisions on, so be advised, you'll need some knowledge of the "who?" section of the prospect list. We will limit the voters to about 5 or 6 guests, so get in quickly.

You are obligated to vote, and do nothing else. If you would like, we love it if you write short blurbs about yourself and then about any of the top 25 prospects you have thoughts about. I consider reading these bits the very best part of the T25.

Because time is short, you will be asked to write a blurb (very short) about yourself as soon as you are chosen to vote.

In other words, you must have some free time this week to vote and then over the next few weeks to write blurbs.

There is one rule: you may not give away the vote results.

Okay, that's that for now, onto the news. Uh....

The Ducks signed Sam Colangelo to a low price deal. I don't actually know who that is. There were no trades in the NHL this weekend.

Jimmy "that did not go well in Toronto" Vesey is going to Switzerland.

Jimmy Vesey signs two-year deal with Swiss club Genève-Servette HC | TSN
Veteran unrestricted free agent forward Jimmy Vesey has signed a two-year contract with Genève-Servette HC in Switzerland on Monday.

Huh, no Dennis Hildeby on this list:

NHL’s 9 RFAs still unsigned: Latest rumours, reports
With all the NHL’s arbitration-eligible restricted free agents reaching resolution with prior to a hearing, only nine RFA cases remain unsolved into the first week of August. Luke Fox takes a look at the names to watch in the coming weeks.

And that's pretty much it for what is generally the dullest weekend of offseason.
