Here we go again. The first game of the Leafs regular season is tonight, hosting the Habs here in Toronto. It's another long slog of a regular season that will have plenty of drama and hopes crushed then resurrected and then probably crushed again.

This is going to be a short FTB because right now all we care about is the puck drop at 7:00 p.m., though it will probably be more like 7:20 given home-opener festivities. There's not much more to say. Oh, well actually Treliving did have things to say, and here they are.

The NHL season opened last night with three games and here was the first goal, and it's kind of hilarious. Also, I am still in the "who the hell is Frank Nazar again and why did he just get a 7-year contract at $6.6 million/year?" state of mind. I guess this is why.

And in other news, the Blue Jays did not do the thing last night.

We'll have full coverage later today about everything for game #1 of the season. Jacket weather is now here for Toronto with the temperature set to drop down to 6ºC by tomorrow morning. Welcome back to Leafs and hockey season!
