Yesterday the IIHF Men's World's quarterfinals were set, and John Tavares did Tinus Luc Koblar a favour by getting the winning goal in Canada's game against Czechia. By beating the Czechs, Norway comes second (!!) in their group and faces Latvia in the quarterfinals, a game they could conceivably win to get to the semifinals.

I tuned into Vegas vs Colorado last night to watch the third period and discovered they have no Eastern Time bias and it was only half over! What is this? I gave up. It was 1-0 Vegas, so either they won and advanced to the SCF or they did not.
