There’s always hope to be crushed.

“It’s not over yet!”

“They can win four straight!”

“It’s been done before!”

“There’s always hope.”

I’m here as a Toronto Maple Leafs fan to share with you that there is no hope in the Hockey Universe. Our working theory is that Hope was destroyed in this Universe by a cosmic quantum kitten fluctuation accident on May 13, 2013, which I assure you was not accidentally created by us here at the PPP Kitten Ranch.

It took us some years to accept that hope was gone forever, but we all have now. You too will learn, in time, to live without it, Habs fans. It’s not so bad! Remember there’s always the Senators for us to laugh at.

Oh, who am I kidding. Of course there’s still hope.
