Marlies (9-3-0-0) vs. Penguins (7-2-0-1)
7:05 pm ET
Mohegan Sun Arena
The Marlies continue their long road trip while the Royal Winter Fair is inside Ricoh Coliseum. The W-B/S Penguins lead the AHL Atlantic Division with 15 points, despite the fact that the Lehigh Valley Phantoms have 20 points.
I mean.. there's some games in hand but... how does... how does that make any sense?
Oh well whatever.
The Marlies are leading the North Division, and they are doing it properly with more points than anyone other team.
Did you know we have a Magical Marlies Meetup when they get back? I will have the ticket price info tomorrow morning.

The Wild are terrible. After spending all that cash to bring over Zach Parise from the Devils and Ryan Suter from the Predators, they have a terrible record to show for it.
Meanwhile, the Leafs have the most photogenic hockey player from the Wild's home state.

We had a hint there were issues before Monday's game when it was reported Matthews left practice early. They said it was due to "general soreness". Yesterday, Frederik Gauthier was called up to the Leafs, and Kasperi Kapanen was sent down. Heads turned, but it was not confirmed Matthews was out.
Now we know for sure: Matthews is injured and not playing tonight.
