Yegor Korshkov

RW - 22 years old - shoots left - fourth full KHL season

Still injured

Eemeli Räsänen

D - 19 years old - shoots right - first year in the KHL

Still injured

Jesper Lindgren

D - 21 years old - shoots right - second season in the Liiga

Life was good this week for HPK. They played twice and got two shutouts. In the first game, Jesper Lindgren was on the top pair again, got minutes that backed that up, and had an assist on the second goal. Good game.

In the second game of the week, Lindgren was not in the lineup, and he is listed as injured. If he was hurt in the prior game, it had to be in the last period, but his ice time looks like a complete game.

Lindgren has one goal and seven assists in 21 games played.

Pontus Holmberg

LW - 19 years old - shoots left - first SHL season

Växjö also had a good week, with two wins, but Pontus Holmberg has been having trouble getting points in the last while. He’s playing fine, usually as the third-line centre, but his line haven’t been scoring lately.

He has three goals and four assists in 20 games played.

Semyon Kizimov

RW - 18 years old - shoots left - first year in the VHL

Semyon Kizimov’s team also won their two games this week, and yet he didn’t score either. He’s also stuck on seven points like Holmberg is, with two goals and five assists in 22 games played.

Nikolai Chebykin

Winger - 21 years old - shoots left - third VHL season

Nikolai Chebykin got two wins in as well, but he scored a goal, making him the most successful prospect this week. He’s now at five goals and one assist in 15 games. His team is slowly climbing the VHL rankings into playoff territory too.

Vladislav Kara

Winger/C - 20 years old - shoots left - third pro season, first in the KHL/VHL

Vladislav Kara got called back up to the KHL for this week. He played less than three minutes in his first game on the Ak Bars roster, and a very small bit more in the second. Ak Bars won both of them, and with 32 games played, they have a strong claim on one of the top four spots in their conference. Given their playoff hopes, I hope Kara gets back to a regular fourth line role at least.

He has two assists in 25 games played in the KHL now.

Martins Dzierkals, who had a very unsuccessful 19 games in the KHL, showed up in the Latvian league. He has one assist in two games played. This might not be it for his KHL dreams, but his chances of getting any sort of NHL contract seem totally doomed.
