The Toronto Maple Leafs have selected Ian Scott as their fourth round pick at 110 overall.  He is a goalie with the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL.

This is the Leafs’ first goalie selection in the 2017 draft. Scott put up a .895 save percentage in 50 games and started 4 games for Canada in the U18 Worlds. He was ranked third among North American goalies by NHL Central Scouting.

9. Ian Scott – Prince Albert Raiders (WHL)

Toiling behind a terrible Prince Albert squad, Scott has managed to fly under the radar in recent years. The former #9 overall WHL pick will turn some heads when finally given the spotlight.

From Future Considerations in May 2016:

A goaltender who balances challenging opposing shooters and when to drop  back into his crease and hold the fort…cool when handling shots to the  glove hand, keeping the glove angled according to net position and the  situation in front…swallows up high shots without any rebounds, pinning  pucks to his chest or belly pad
