Natalie Spooner did it again, scoring the game winning goal in the third period against Boston to give Toronto their 11th straight win in the PWHL. Spooner now leads the league in goals (13) and points (18).

Renata Fast also scored in the 2-1 regulation win. Sarah Nurse had two assists, bringing her up to a tie with the league leaders in that category with 10 in 18 games. Toronto has been a completely different team with Nurse up the middle and Spooner on the right as the triggerwoman. The other side of the first line has been changing, but Hannah Miller has the job right now and doesn't look to be leaving anytime soon.

Goaltender Erica Howe got her first win in the PWHL, stopping 28 of 29, and was the first star of the game. Toronto is now three points clear of Minnesota at the top of the league thanks to regulation wins three quarters of the way through the inaugural season.

The Leafs beat the Capitals 7-3 thanks to a five point night from Auston Matthews including #57 and #58), plus goals from Nylander (who got his 90th point of the season), Tavares, Bertuzzi, McMann, and McCabe. Nylander and Tavares both had three point nights, as well.
Sorry for ruining Pride Night, Caps fans :/. But we'll always be jealous you have TVR.

Alex Ovechkin scored twice for Washington, giving him 23 goals on the season and bringing him to 845 career goals, leaving him with 49 more to tie Gretzky, and 50 for the all-time career goals record in the NHL. He's already the league's greatest goal scorer of all time considering the eras he played in, but the record will cement him in that class with Gretzky, Howe, and you can argue a couple others that you'd like from there.
The Capitals are in a great position as a franchise to tank, but keep enough talented players around to help Ovi get the record (this is why I think they wanted and extended Sandin). I mean, they're just feeding him, haha. But hey, no one can say they didn't do this for Gretzky when he was chasing Howe and 900.

Minten and Lisowsky connected for Liso's 40th goal of the season.
#LeafsForever prospect Fraser Minten with the drop pass between his legs to fellow prospect Brandon Lisowsky, who walks in all alone and rips it top corner for the overtime winner and his 2nd goal of the game. Lisowsky hits 40 goals, a WHL career high for him. pic.twitter.com/BiRvbHC17w
