A few surprising names on the list to me include JD Greenway, who played in the USHL after leaving the University of Wisconsin following the 17/18 season, and a few European players making the trip over for camp; Lukas Haudum from IK Patern in Sweden and Pavel Rotenberg of the VHL in Russia. Rotenberg was at last year’s camp as well. Missing is draft pick Mikhail Abramov and previous draft picks, Eemeli Rasanen and Vladislav Kara, who are both in the KHL this year.

The fourth goalie this year who will play with Woll, Bouthilier, and Scott is Devin Cooley. He was a Sophomore at the University of Denver last season, where he played 20 games with a 1.85 GAA and a .934 sv%.

It’s a smaller roster than last year, which saw 46 players take to the ice, which means a smaller number of coaches;

Maple Leafs Director of Player Development Scott Pellerin will oversee this year’s camp. Leafs assistant coach Paul McFarland, as well as Marlies head coach Sheldon Keefe, will be on-ice working with the prospects, who will be split into two groups.

The camp is taking place at the Ford Performance Centre on Lakeshore Blvd in Etobicoke, the team hasn’t announced if it’s open to the pubic so if they haven’t said yes, it’s most likely a no.
