It was an amazing week for Ian Scott. Two weeks ago he was named the WHL goalie of the week, and last week he put up even better numbers including a shut out. However, some rookie got his first win of his career so Scott was passed over.  It’s not a huge deal, but come on. Scott is playing like he is going to single-handedly bring Prince Albert to Halifax for the Memorial Cup, and if he keeps playing like this the odds are high the prairies will keep the cup.

Everyone else was fine, I guess.

Ontario Hockey League
#11 - Mac Hollowell (D) - 1G, 1A, -7
Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds - 3-3-1-0

Mac scored his first of the season in the Greyhounds only win last week. The team got Barrett Hayton back from the Coyotes, so an offensive boost is on it’s way. Hollowell’s getting the tough assignments, but the team isn’t helping him out much.

Durzi came up big against Ryan McGregor and the Sting, then settled in to play defence the rest of the week.

W 4-0 - 23sv, 23sh, 1.000sv%

As I said above, it’s a tragedy that Scott didn’t get WHL goalie of the week again this week. Is this his level of play for the season or are we starting on a hot streak?

In a pre-season game against New Brunswick Woll had a one period shut out.

#8 - Dakota Joshua (F) / Ryan O’Connell (D)
Ohio State Buckeyes

No games last week, the Buckeyes will have their first game on Friday night.

Ian Scott aside it wasn’t a very impressive week for the Leafs junior prospects. It’s making me miss the days of Bracco and Marner scoring hat tricks every week.

One upcoming highlight is Semyon and the Petes will be hosting the Erie Otters tomorrow night, so if there’s a time for SDA to put up numbers it’s then.
