The Toronto Sceptres used their six draft picks last night in the draft where KK Harvey went first overall to no one's surprise.
The full draft list is here:
This is nothing like the NHL draft, because teams are drafting pro-ready players and they are drafting for need most of the time.
Toronto's picks:
Kirsten Simms
She is a huge points forward with some creativity, passing and scoring ability. She is exactly who Toronto needs.
Simms is 22 later this summer, and is from Plymouth Michigan. She has completed four years of outstanding hockey at the University of Wisconsin, and has been a thorn in Canadian sides as a member of Team USA.

Jamie Nelson
Nelson is 24 and from Andover Minnesota who used to play at Minnesota State, and moved this year to the University of Minnesota where he point totals grew.
She is a forward, described as a depth addition and a two-way forward.
This feels like the standard Sceptres forward pick, someone who is not exciting and likely won't score all that much but plays a solid game.

Brooke Disher
Disher is just 21, and is a left-shooting defender. She is from BC and has played for Boston University and Ohio State.
She will likely play in the bottom four on the Sceptres. She played for Canada at the U18, and was team captain, but has never played at the top level.

Jane Kuehl
Kuehl is 22, and from Edina Minnesota. She is a forward, and did four years at Princeton.
She only decided recently to try to extend her playing career in the PWHL after her best college year for points in her fourth season.

Emerson O'Leary
O'Leary is 22, a forward and was a teammate of Jane Kuehl's at Princeton. She is from Southborough, Mass.
She has no Team USA experience, but did attend their National Festival at least once. She does not score goals much, but has some decent assist numbers, and appears to have played a role at Princeton a step below Kuehl.
Alyssa Regalado
Regalado is 22, and is from Mississauga. She is a left-shooting defender who has played four years at Cornell. She played on Canada's U18 team, but has no other national team experience.

That's the list for this year's draft. No guarantee these players will suit up for the Sceptres, other than Simms, who is a lock, so there is still a lot of work to do to fill out the roster.
