So my brother flew into Vancouver yesterday for work.  He's a Health and Safety Executive for a cartage company and also sits on the board of directors for some sort of Transportation Safety Association, which is having their quarterly meeting out in Victoria this weekend, so he managed to combine both obligations into about 2 days in Vancouver, meaning he could see me, and 3 in Victoria.  Which is awesome.  My brother is 11 years older than me and probably the only reason I managed to grow up semi-sane.  He's also the reason I'm a Leafs fan.  Anyways, he wanted to go for dinner tonight and, being as how he's so awesome, I took him to my favourite restaurant.  Vij's is really just amazing food.  I've always loved Indian food, since where I grew up had a huge population of people from India, but nothing I've ever had anywhere else even comes close to Vij's quality of food.  It was spectacular.  If you ever come out to Vancouver you have to eat there.  I don't care if there's a 2.5 hr wait, it's worth it (FWIW, it was a 1.5 hr wait.  On a Wednesday night.  Good luck getting in on a Friday or Saturday.  Oh and no reservations are taken.)  But oh man I am so happy right now, we split a bottle of wine and ordered three dishes - pork tenderloin, organic chicken, and goat.  Spectacular.  Now it'll be another year until we go back, but it was so worth it.
