The St. Pats lost 3-1 last night to the New York Islanders in a game where the only Leafs goal was by Steve Lorentz.

And there was of course a goal from a Schenn, just traded to the Islanders.

Here's the team post game where Morgan explains why he got in a fight in the game.
It's interesting to hear a reporter ask about "going through these last few games, but there's 13 games to go before we can move on from this season. Still plenty of time for a shootout. But if you sit through that whole clip (do it a 1.5x speed) the messaging from the team now is clearly about how they're all going to be working together on the ice more and sticking up for each other more and... well they're going to become a Team again, which, that would have been great to do a long time ago, but it also begs the question, what happened. Mo tries to very carefully dance around this but it all sounds to me like either the Leafs were all separately lost in the woods and forgot what they were there to do because they had no compass to guide them, or they ummm... don't like each other. I'm not sure how else to interpret all this. It could also simply be some ticket-revenue saving PR strategy, and yes I am sufficiently cynical at this point to believe that could be true.
That's it for the Leafs until the back-to-back games hosting the Hurricanes here in Toronto on Friday night, then visiting the Senators in Ottawa on Saturday.
At least we have the Marlies and the Sceptres.
Alex Nylander is on a two game ENG streak! But he also got a regular one yesterday too as the Marlies beat the Monsters 4-2, inching their way closer to taking third place in the division and avoiding the play-in round.

And Darryl Watts came up big for the Sceptres last night to help them defeat the Boston Fleet 2-0.

That's all for today for now, unless the Leafs sign another college free agent. Oh, yes, if you missed that news, then click here:
