Happy Saturday everyone, time for a relaxing weekend.

Later this morning you will get to meet the voters for the T25, and there will be more things coming along on that front soon.

In baseball news, Buck Martinez returned to the booth. Great news.

This is interesting. It covers the rules the NHL teams are limited by, and also is up front about how much of a financial sacrifice this is for someone on a minors salary in an expensive city. Now consider Toronto for the Marlies players.

An Investment In Himself | Seattle Kraken
Kraken first-year pro prospect Tyson Jugnauth moved to Seattle for the summer on his own dime so he could train at the Kraken Community Iceplex under team strength and conditioning coaches

This is begging for engagement by SN, a time-honoured summer event, but I actually found this interesting to consider. Because the answer isn't about the player so much as the context. Which team will have more offence, more time in-zone, have better players, and which player will get more ice time and more power play time on a team with a good power play? I think it's Michkov or Hutson. But maybe other is the right answer because somewhere there is a player on a very good team that is not as highly thought of as a prospect as these guys.

Points require opportunity and opportunity is created by others. And then luck gets a say.

Cnfirmation that Florida does have a cap space can to kick well down the road:

There's more hockey coming up as play begins August 11:

In other news, the Avs re-signed Joel Kivirnata, but no trades have happened in a week.

That's it for now, have a great weekend everyone. Summer doesn't last forever.
