Djurgården förlänger kontraktet med Josefine Jakobsen | Hockey | Expressen
Danish University of North Dakota forward Josefine Jakobsen signs a contract with Djurgården, leaving North American hockey behind. She played for two years in Sweden before her college career.

Team director Nils Ekman said:

"Josefine is one of Europe's best hockey players. She has expressed a strong sense from the beginning that she really wants to come to us, which makes it even more fun. She was the holder of goal record in Riksserien until Andrea Dalen broke it last winter."

Hockey Hall of Fame

Women's hockey players have been eligible for induction to the Hall since 2010. Other than the numbers limit (two to the men's four, which is idiotic to start with) there's no difference in the eligibility requirements. Given the history, it should have been easy to find 14 players. Instead, we have four: Cammi Granato and Angela James (2010), Geraldine Heaney (2013) and Angela Ruggiero. That's pathetic.

Most of the women I've listed below (and this is by no means comprehensive) have been eligible since 2010 and before. Unfortunately this also means that for some of them what's available on Youtube doesn't give the full scope of their abilities and impact on the game.
