There are two other games today, the final day of the regular season. At 1:oo pm, Boston plays Minnesota (TSN) and at 2:00 pm, the Sirens play the Victoire (CBC).

Toronto can't finish below second place

Going in to today's games, the New York Sirens are the only team eliminated, and one other has to lose out on playoffs. Toronto and Montréal have both clinched at least second place, but the order can flip. Before today's games, Minnesota was in fifth place, Ottawa fourth and Boston third.

Toronto can finish first

Montréal has 50 points and Toronto has 47. A win in regulation for Toronto and a loss in regulation by Montréal leaves them tied in points and Toronto holds the first tie-breaker of regulation wins.

Boston can finish out of the playoffs

Boston, third with 44 points can be overtaken by either the Charge or the Frost for third. If Boston loses in regulation and the Charge win in any fashion, they will move ahead of Boston.

If Boston loses in regulation, the Frost therefore win in regulation, and they will move ahead of Boston.

Ottawa can finish out of the playoffs

If Ottawa loses and the Frost win in any fashion, Ottawa falls to fifth place and is eliminated from the playoffs.

Minnesota can finish out of the playoffs

The Frost are one point behind Ottawa and sit in fifth place before today's games. They have to finish ahead of the Charge in points, as Ottawa has the first tiebreaker locked up. A win in any fashion and a Charge loss in regulation puts Minnesota in the playoffs. A win in regulation with a loss of any kind by the Charge also puts Minnesota ahead.

So to sum up, Ottawa really wants to win this game.

Toronto knows when, but not who they will face in the playoffs

Even after the games today, the Sceptres will not know their playoff opponent until the first-place team (which could be them) choses their opponent. The first-place team has 24 hours after the standings are set to make their choice.

Toronto's first two playoff games are Wednesday, May 7 and Friday, May 9 at the Coliseum. Times have not been announced yet, but there are some tickets available.

The rounds are best-of-five. All games of the first round will be on TSN/RDS or Prime Video Canada in Canada. All games in the final round will be on TSN/RDS in Canada.

Playoffs will be broadcast in the USA by each US-based team's local broadcaster.
