Toronto's last game was on January 6, where they were shutout 2-0 by New York. They have a Points % of 0.455 and a record of 4 W - 0 OTW - 3 OTL - 4 L.

Boston's last game was on January 11, where they lost in a shootout to Ottawa 2-1. They have a Points % of 0.697 and a record of 7 W - 0 OTW - 2 OTL - 2 L.

The Sceptres last won a game at the end of December, and time is running out for them to move out of the sub .500 portion of the standings and into a good playoff spot. They are a few games away from the halfway point of the season, a marker they will pass just before the Olympic break. And they have a packed schedule after over a week off, with four more games after tonight before everything stops for a month.

The Sceptres simply aren't scoring enough goals as their most pressing problem, but they also allow too many. Part of that goal-scoring problem is a power play that has a laughably low rate of success, worst in the league. It's only been 11 games, so that can be luck playing a big role, but that's part of the business of playing in this league – you have to have an answer if you get unlucky in one part of your game. You don't have 70 more games to make it up like in the NHL.

Boston meanwhile has great success on special teams, allows very few goals and scores decently well.

This is not going to be an easy game for the Sceptres, but they have to start winning some tough ones at some point.
