We're coming up to the end of the off-season. Next week we will present the top three of our Top 25 Under 25, and I think the order of them will be the most interesting part. In recent years, this portion of the list was kind of redundant because of course Matthews was obviously first, and in the years before that the only debate in this segment of the list was do you place Nylander or Marner at #2 or #3.
This year we have a legitimate debate about all three positions. You all know who is left, Easton Cowan, Fraser Minten, and Matthew Knies. So tell me, what order do you think will be the order of the final three?
I will give you these hints in advance: no player had a unanimous first place vote, something very rare for our list; and one of them had no first place votes at all. We're in what is almost uncharted territory for out T25U25 list, though this has happened before on a minor scale, but never in recent times has there been this much disagreement about the top of the list. We're living in interesting times.

Will one of the current oldest players in the league come back to the Leafs?
And another result of the media machinations of our new streaming era. Note that your Amazon Prime subscription does not give you "free" access to Leafs games on TSN, you still have to pay for it, but having a Prime subscription will give you access to the Monday night Leafs games assigned to Amazon and the TSN games consolidated onto their platform if you pay the extra fee. Amazon does regularly offer a limited-time free trial of Prime to those who use their other services, so you may want to make an account to check it out for one of the Monday games and test if you like it. The first Amazon Prime-only game is October 21.
Enjoy this final weekend of the off-season. Next weekend we have the rookie tournament in Montreal, and hockey season will really be underway.
