Montréal last played Ottawa on March 10 and lost at home 4-2. They have a record so far of 7 RW, 3 OTW, 3 OTL and 4 L for a Points % of .588 in 17 games. They are comfortably in third place with seven games left to play.

Toronto las played Montréal at home on March 8 and shut them out 3-0. Toronto has a record of 8 RW, 3 OTW, 0 OTL, and 5 L for a Points % of .625 in 16 games. They are tied in points with Montréal, but in second place on the basis of fewer games played. Minnesota is in reach at only three points ahead with 18 games played (that's one regulation win in this league).

Toronto has played Montréal three times. They won in a shootout in January, shut them out in Scotiabank arena and shut them out in their most recent meeting in Mattamy. After this neutral site game (Montréal is the home team), they play once more in Centre Bell in Montréal on April 20.

Them

Montréal is obviously a good team but they struggle against Toronto.

They have a thin margin between goals for and against, and yet they lead the league in both Save % and Shooting %. They just don't shoot much, and they allow more than they produce.

Montréal is a team built to use the skill of the players to overcome any other bumps in the road. Toronto always seems to be too big of a bump.

Us

Toronto will be without Brittany Howard, who has been suspended for one game for a cross check to the head of a Montréal player in the last game.

The job is to keep the streak alive and aim for first place in the league. All they need to do is keep doing what they've been doing because it's hard to find areas of weakness now that the goaltending is rolling along at almost league average.

The Game

Yesterday was the first neutral site game where Boston beat Ottawa in front of over 13,000 fans in Detroit.

Today is a chance for Pittsburgh fans to see the PWHL in action, so we want to put on a good show for them and beat Montréal comprehensively. If they want to watch "Captain Canada" score goals, they can watch Sidney Crosby whenever they want. They don't need Marie-Philip Poulin showing off. Let's stick to some nice Toronto-based excitement.

Go Toronto Go!
