Three full days now before the draft on Friday and a lot hasn't happened that is expected. Will expectations be fulfilled?
Yesterday was the reaction to the Tkachuck trade, and the announcement of the HHOF inductees. The only signing was Connor Murphy re-signing with the Oilers at 5 by $4.1 million.

On Leafs issues. Sergei Bobrovsky's name is now linked to the Leafs, so this is what is out there: Pierre Lebrun, on Overdrive, said he believes the Leafs are looking at defencemen, goalies and forwards. They are interested in any upgrade. He also said that while Florida has interest in Connor Hellebuyck, they might be out of assets to pay with. They will not trade Anton Lundell. He did say that Florida is looking at a lot of goalies, some that might be surprising.
Elliotte Friedman, earlier in the day on 32 Thoughst, mentioned Bobrovsky and the Leafs in a speculative way and also speculated in a way that sounded like just a reason to say his name about Florida and Samuel Ersson.
Now back to LeBrun, who also said that Florida would like to re-sign Bobrovsky, but his initial contract ask was much more than they were willing to consider. The resolution might be Bobrovsky back with Florida as July 1 approaches. He also said he thinks Hellebuyck is flexible and wants to work with the Jets to allow them to get a good return.
LeBrun's statement on the Matthew Knies trade speculation was that teams are offering the Leafs a wide variety of packages, but the Leafs are not setting a price, they're just taking these calls. He believes there is more to this discussion than a lot of people think, but he also said Chayka's statement that it's not likely they trade him was true. Or as I'd put it, true at the time he said it.
This Knies trade idea, Chris Johnston called it an auction, and I think it's something else, now that I've thought on it more. It's a game of musical chairs. Florida took Tkachuk so Ottawa wants a forward and whoever they get is someone someone else wanted and the more that goes on, the higher the price until the offer that blows off socks becomes more and more likely. Which actually means the Leafs are the team left standing with no chair to sit in, this is a valid criticism of the idea unless their answer is an unsigned RFA forward they can get in trade and sign to a good deal (no not Robertson).
Everyone expects Morgan Rielly to be traded, and his list is Western Conference teams. The surprising name now is Zach Werenski, who LeBrun states has not asked for a trade. This might be look at the contract, look at the team and jump to an obvious conclusion on people's part, or it could be that Columbus has changed direction with their most recent GM change. LeBrun certainly implied that the Leafs have expressed some interest there.
More on Alex Tuch, Jason Robertson and Elias Pettersson:
In Sceptres news, Blayre Turnbull is expecting, which is delightful news, but means she won't be playing this season. She announced that she is due in December.

At the Marlies event yesterday, John Gruden said he'd like to come back as coach and they will talk about that soon. The official (non-Zoom) introduction of Jim Hiller is supposed to be this week as well.
Today is the Board of Governors meetings in Buffalo ahead of the draft. Nothing earthshaking is expected out of this one.
That's all for now. More news could happen at any moment!
